Shayla Compton

Senior Program Manager

Shayla Compton, MPH, joined the Center in June 2021 as a Public Health Consultant before beginning her current role as the Program Manager for the Center’s Tobacco Nation Capacity Building Initiative. Ms. Compton has over 12 years of experience in community organizing and guiding chronic disease prevention programs to implement strategies to reduce health inequities. She is a graduate from the University of Alaska-Anchorage and University of Washington, earning degrees in Sociology and Public Health, with a specific focus in Community-Oriented Public Health Practice.
