Shanice Roache
Food and Nutrition Program Manager
Shanice Roache joined The Center as the Food and Nutrition Program Manager. She is responsible for achieving operational objectives; developing and implementing strategic work plans, logic models, and evaluation plans; and managing subcontracts and subcontractor activities. In addition to a master's in Global Maternal and Child Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a bachelor's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Shanice has seven years of experience working with nonprofits on tobacco prevention and control programs and health departments working on Title V maternal and child health (MCH) block grant programs. Her passion lies in maternal and child health. She believes African American women face more than enough challenges when bringing new life into the world and should feel cared for, supported, and heard through their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She was born and raised in Jamaica before moving to Concord, North Carolina. She enjoys learning to play the acoustic guitar, cooking, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, and binging a good show.
