Delmonte Jefferson
Executive Director
Delmonte Jefferson is the Executive Director at The Center for Black Health & Equity. He is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the organization and is our primary spokesperson. Before coming to The Center, Delmonte worked as a public health program administrator in North Carolina, Louisiana, and Georgia, where he managed statewide tobacco control initiatives. Delmonte has been an integral part of the national movement to ban mentholated tobacco products and is nationally recognized as an expert in the field. He is a skilled collaborator with cross sections of public, government, and private sector entities to create programs and services that promote health justice for communities that are often marginalized and disenfranchised. Delmonte resides in Atlanta, GA, with his wife and children. He loves spending time outdoors, and he is an avid golfer.
