Karimah Bennett

Karimah M. Bennett, MBA serves as The Center's Human Resources Manager. Her career in Human Resources spans the non-profit, education, public, and private sectors, and she continues to work towards influencing change. For more than 20 years, Karimah has worked in the community service space and finds joy in ensuring equal opportunity exists in education and public health, especially for black and brown children and families. Karimah attended North Carolina Central University, where she earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Geography and used them to educate high school students as a public school teacher. She completed her Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management at Concordia University, Nebraska and is currently continuing her education with a pending Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University Law School. Karimah actively contributes to community efforts in Durham, North Carolina, and the surrounding area through her membership organizations and volunteerism.
