No More Secrets Mind Body Spirit Inc.
No More Secrets Mind Body Spirit Inc. is a collaborative partner with The Center for Black
Health & Equity working to engage in authentic conversations and dismantle stigmas about uterine fibroids in Black communities. This was facilitated through our organizations co-hosting a series of Sip and Share conversations with experts and Black women in our communities.
Founded in 2012, No More Secrets is a sexuality awareness and consultative organization. Our mission is to decrease uterine care and menstrual health disparities in underserved communities through the eradication of societal stigmas and propagation of resources and scientifically based information.
On February 20th, 2021, we proudly opened the nation's first menstrual hub and uterine wellness center, "The SPOT Period", located in Germantown Philadelphia, PA. all through crowd funding efforts.
In the one year since we opened the SPOT, we have served over 250,000 individuals and distributed over 6,000,000 menstrual products to vulnerable Black and Brown communities.
Additionally, we have expanded our reach and opened several satellite hubs on HBCU campuses. In partnership with Drexel University Collage of Nursing and Health Profession, the SPOT Period hub offers on-sight wellness checks and medical referrals facilitated by nursing students and their clinical supervisor.
No More Secrets Mind Body Spirit Inc. has also been recognized nationally for its historic efforts by magazine outlets such as Black Enterprise. Most notably, we have recently co-authored the first peer reviewed research in the American Journal of Public Health on Period Poverty.
