About the Role
Web & Graphic Designer
Web designer ensures that goals and objectives specified for The Center for Black Health & Equity’s internal and external communications efforts are accomplished in accordance with approved work-plan deliverables, funding limitations and other specifications. This position provides day-to-day website and digital marketing support for The Center and manages creative production, coordination, and execution of marketing materials across all web-based channels.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Develops, refreshes, and maintains multiple websites for The Center.
Designs for internal and external web-based products including but not limited to web site, banner ads, emails and social media channels.
Assists with the development of print and digital collateral including fact sheets, infographics, motion graphics, brochures, and multipage toolkits.
Tracks, analyzes, and optimizes website to increase traffic and engagement.
Works closely with evaluation team to provide frequent updates and analytics.
Supports team project planning efforts and campaign execution.
Education and Experience
B.A. in web design, graphic design, or related
2-4 years of web design and programming experience
2 years of search engine optimization including use of meta data, page titles, tags, site speed, schema, etc.
Applicant must provide link to a portfolio. No interview will be scheduled prior to receipt.
Proven proficiency utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud programs to produce creative and effective communications products.
Eye for design and a strong point of view with regard to UX as well as responsive, accessible design
Knowledgeable in setting up files for commercial print.
Familiar with key issues in public health and/or health disparities.
Experience working with or designing for African American audiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
