($45,000 - $55,000 annually)

General Purpose

Reporting to the Deputy Director, this position is responsible for coordinating office operations at The Center for Black Health & Equity headquarters. Responsibilities include ensuring that adequate office supplies and program materials are purchased and shipped to appropriate staff and/or partner organizations, maintaining Intranet site, and distributing mail virtually. This position is based in Durham, NC.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Perform clerical, administrative, and secretarial responsibilities and tasks at office headquarters.
Design and implement filing systems for records and general office information.
Ensure security and confidentiality of data and other information at the office headquarters.
Ensure established office policies and procedures are being adhered to for operational efficiency.
Prepare operational reports and schedules to ensure efficiency.
Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory.
Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Monitor and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
Provide programmatic and special events support as needed.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or
High school diploma with at least 10 years administrative and supervisory experience
Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures
Knowledge of business and management principles
Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages

Note: This is a full-time, hybrid position with a preference for candidates in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area
